A site has first to be published to all search engines and directories. If correctly designed the site should be visible when searching for keywords related to the services, products offered and organization's name. Too often companies can't even find their names!
The three steps to check a site's visibility are:
- Number of pages indexed by search engines
- Ranks in search's results by keywords
- Site's popularity
